First Sunday of the Month       Other Sundays

First Sunday of the month:

8am Holy Communion

Using Common Worship with different service booklets for each season of the year, this is a said service with more congregational participation. A short homily/sermon is given.

10am Altogether Worship

'Altogether Worship' is an informal, inter-generational service, which aims to be relevant and meaningful for children and adults alike.  The Service is led by a team from All Saints, under the guidance of the Vicar - Revd Beverly Watson. The music is led by a Music Group, with both children and adults taking part. The service is sometimes a 'Service of the Word', and on other occasions an All-Age Communion Service. We stay together throughout the Service.

5.30pm Youth Led Service

The 'Youth Led Service' began in September 2017, following the Confirmations of quite a few young people at All Saints. The young people prepare and lead the service themselves, with the support of a team from All Saints. The young people also form their own band, and lead the music themselves. People of any age are welcome to attend the service, which is always imaginative and inspiring.

Other Sundays:

8am Holy Communion

Using Common Worship with different service booklets for each season of the year, this is a said service with more congregational participation. A short homily/sermon is given.

4th Sunday of the Month: Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer

This said service has been in use since the 17th Century and uses beautiful language and words of scripture from the King James Bible. It is mainly led by the priest and is an opportunity for quiet reflection.

10am Parish Communion

Using Common Worship with different service booklets for each season of the year, this is a service with hymns accompanied by the choir with organ/piano. The whole congregation gathers at the beginning and after a children’s slot, the young people go out to the crèche or to Sunday Club in the hall and return during the administration of communion to be all together at the end. A sermon is preached which focusses on the Bible readings set by the lectionary for each Sunday, seeking to apply the truth of the scriptures to our every day lives. The feel of the service will depend on the time of the church year so, for example, a more sober feel during Advent and Lent followed by great celebrations at Christmas and Easter. There are deliberately times of silence during each service to allow us to talk/listen to God.

6.30pm Evening Service

Held in the chapel, this takes various forms:

2nd Sunday Second Thoughts – evening prayer followed by an opportunity to discuss the sermon from the 10am service;

3rd Sunday Messy Church at 4-6pm

4th Sunday Reflective Service

There are also occasional healing services, Songs of Praise – please see the newssheet for more details. Hopefully there will be something to please everyone!

There is no dress code for our services – God wants us to feel comfortable in his presence.

‘Putting God first…’
