News and events
We are starting to plan the 24th December services (yes - I know it’s early but “fail to plan and all that .....) as these will include the Nativity during the 10am service and the Crib Service at 4pm too. We also only have 45 minutes each Sunday during Quest / Sunday Club to plan this!
This year we’re very proud to say the Nativity is being produced by a cross section of the Quest and Sunday Club members. They have already established a outline for the service and this has been agreed by the Worship Vision Group. We are of course still having the Nativity as the key part of the service!
Our work starts to bring the Nativity together on the 19th November when we will run joint Sunday Club / Quest sessions. On the 19th and 26th, the combined group will write the scripts and we’ll allocate parts. We will have rehearsals on the 10th and again on the 17th in Church after the 10am service. We will then perform the Nativity in the 10am service on the 24th and then of course at 4pm at the Crib Service.
Here’s a summary of the timetable:
Sunday 19th and 26th November: write the script and decide parts
Sunday 10th December : rehearse in Sunday Club
Sunday 17th December : dress rehearsal after 10am service in church
Sunday 24th December : run the play in the 10am service and the 4pm crib service.
We hope your child / children would like to be part of the Nativity. The joint Quest / Sunday Club production team have had great ideas!
There’s no need for your child/children to attend all of these Sundays (as this is quite a commitment!) but if they would like to take part, we would like to to be able to make sure they are available on either the 19th or 26th so we have their name and then again on the 10th or 17th (but preferably both!). The 24th is a must !!
Having produced the pantomime for a number of year now, it’s never possible to have everyone all the time so we appreciate your help!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Andy or Linda Wells.
Children's Christmas Choir:
We're delighted to able to invite children (6 years upwards) to form a choir for our Carol Service (17th December 6pm). The choir will be open to children from All Saints, and from the local community. There will be 3 rehearsals, (30th November, 7th+14th December, 7.30-8pm) led by Margaret Roberts. If your child would like to sing, please let Fiona Bowen know firstname.lastname@example.org
