All Saints’ Church has a 25-
The choir is available to sing for weddings, baptisms, funerals and other special services held in All Saints’ Church. Please contact the Director of Music for further information.
The choir sings under the direction of Matthew Greenfield, who has been Director of Music of All Saints’ Church since September 2006, having arrived from Oriel College, Oxford where he was Assistant Director of the Chapel Choir. Matthew also works as a freelance organist, accompanist and composer.
Our Organ Scholar, Toby Humphreys, assists the Director of Music by occasionally accompanying, rehearsing and conducting the choir. He also takes responsibility for managing the choir’s music library.
The choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and many of the choristers and adults have attained medals through the RSCM’s Voice for Life scheme across the full range of levels from Light Blue to Gold. In addition, the probationers and choristers of the children’s choir receive training in music theory and aural skills.

The choir sings a broad repertoire of music from the Anglican choral tradition, from simple anthems such as Farrant’s Call to remembrance and Bruckner’s Locus iste to more complex works such as Stanford’s For Lo, I raise up and Tavener’s God is with us.
Annually, the choir sings Choral Evensong in one of the country’s Cathedrals. Over the past four years, we have visited Guildford, Portsmouth, Southwark and Salisbury Cathedrals, and we have been invited to sing in Chichester Cathedral in July 2012.
