ALL SAINTS’ NOTICES

· HOLIDAY CLUB – we need your donations of small empty cardboard boxes, ‘actimel’ or equivalent bottles and kitchen roll inners please as soon as possible!  Thanks.

· Our Lent Course this year in conjunction with St Nics and the URC will be based on the York Course ‘Handing on the Torch – sacred words for a secular world.’  It will be held over 5 sessions on Mondays at 2pm at the URC, Tuesdays at 8pm at the Vicarage, Thursdays at 9.30am at All Saints’ and Thursdays at 12.30pm at St Nics.  More details on the noticeboard  - help yourself to a flyer, so please sign up now as soon as possible so we can order the books.

· The Communications team – the questionnaires have gone out with the magazine this month.  Please complete and return to church as soon as possible. · Advance notice – breakfast and pre- (or post) sermon discussion between the services on 11th March at 9am. Sign up if you’d like to come as we need to know numbers for catering!

· ELECTORAL ROLL – if you want to become a voting member of this church, or wish to go onto the PCC, you need to go onto the Roll.  Forms (and criteria) available from the back of church.  You must complete the form in the couple of weeks and return to Silvia Davis (575674).  If you have moved, or want to come off the Roll, please also complete another form.  Thank you.  APCM is on Sunday 11th March.

· Auction of Promises – this will be on April 21st.  Please start thinking now about whether you can offer anything for this that could be auctioned.  Please speak to Robin (571792)

· BABY SAINTS – for parents with under 2s.  Wednesdays 9.30-11am in the Reading Room - a chance for the children to play and the adults to chat and have a pause for thought. Contact Katy (07929 362063) or Liz (576511)

· ROLES IN CHURCH – please can you let Lucy know if there’s something you do for the church (however big or small) – we’re not sure who’s doing what at the moment and know that there are lots of things that ‘just happen’ and we don’t know who does them!

· 2012 DIARIES – these are now available from the porch and will cost £1 each.  Please put your money into the honesty box.  Thank you.

· Roads in our Parish – there is a list of our roads on the noticeboard.  If you’d be willing to be the person to deliver cards/flyers to that road/part of a road every time it is necessary please sign the list (Christmas/Easter and for the summer fete).  We need to ensure we are not wasting money on getting things printed and then not delivering them.  Thank you.

· MOTHER AND TODDLER GROUP – are there people in the congregation generous enough with their time to provide coffees for this church group once a term on a Friday morning?  Please see Rosemary Bailey or Elizabeth Loch for details.

· £10,000 Prize – for commissioning new art for Parish Churches.  For details see www.churchcare.co.uk and click on "Download". Deadline for expression of interest: 29/2/12; Final Submission by 1/10/12. 

· Children’s Society Boxes – please could the people who have boxes bring them to church next Sunday – 11th February, or speak to Rosemary Bailey 532756 and she will collect.  Thank you.
