· SEA SUNDAY COLLECTION – for The Mission to Seafarers.  A huge thank you to everybody for a fantastic retiring collection result - £200.  Remember it’s not just once a year.  Every time we use our car, the bus, go shopping, cook a meal, buy clothes or household goods, most of it comes by sea.  Give thanks.  

· CHURCH HALL – the work starts this week on the hall.  Thank you to those who painted last week.  Once the work is done (by August 16th) we intend to paint the WHOLE hall area.  Can you help?  Please look on the noticeboard in the porch for more details and sign the list if you can. Call Lucy Wallis (302122) if you have any queries.  Thank you.

· Tea and scones at the vicarage. 2.30pm Thursday August 5th. All Welcome.

· Week of Accompanied Prayer – from Sunday 26th September to Saturday 2nd October.  Our parish is joining with St Nicolas and the URC for this event.  See the information booklet and application form on the noticeboard in the porch. We need to know numbers as soon as possible so that we can ensure sufficient prayer partners for the week so please get your application forms in a.s.a.p. There are eleven people so far but it would be great if as many people as possible were to take part – it would deepen our church prayer life considerably so please book!

· EVENING SERVICES – there will be no evening services during August.

· Teddies Ten Minutes – this will stop over the summer holidays and start again on Tuesday 7th September.

· MARJORIE LAPORTE – she would like to thank members of the congregation for their kind thoughts, prayers and get well cards.  She is home and making steady progress along the road to recovery.  

· JAMES KHUNGA – this quadriplegic from St Fracnis’ Hospital, Katete will have his pictures for sale in the Royal Surrey Hospital from 28th July – 30th August.

· SUNDAY CLUB – there is no Sunday Club over the summer, but there will be videos in the Reading Room, or colouring at the back of church for during the quieter parts of the service.

· PLANTS – if you sponsored a plant in the new garden, please could you take the time to water it in this dry weather.  Thank you

· HORSE MANURE – please help yourselves and return the sack!
