Worship For Everyone

On the first Sunday of the month we hold service we call “Worship for Everyone” at 10o'clock – instead of the usual Holy Communion.

This is because we are aware that the service that has evolved over two thousand years, crafted by theologians and bishops, rich in symbol, metaphor and biblical quotation – can be difficult.  Sometimes the less erudite, the youngsters or the beginner may need a simpler form of worship.  So, each month, we try to put together just that.

 It's not just a service for children, though we try to include at least something that really relates to them.  We are also trying to show how Jesus is involved in the problems we all have in the modern world.

On these days we have also Communion Services as follows:-

8.00am  Said service from the Book of Common Prayer

6.30pm  Service with hymns, from the Common Worship book
