Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which you affirm for yourself the faith into which you have been baptised and your intention to live a life of committed discipleship.
Both children and adults are very welcome to be confirmed into the Church in All Saints’ Parish. Confirmation classes are offered by the ministry team in preparation for this important event, and timings vary according to demand. Please contact the Vicar if you would like to discuss further or take part in classes.
Upcoming confirmation classes
We'll be running a 6 week
Confirmation Course from September 30th through to November 11th,
for anyone who would like to be Confirmed. The Course will run on
Sunday afternoons, from 4-5pm; and the Confirmation itself will
take place on Thursday 15th November, at 7.30pm. If you would like
to join, please let Beverly, or Martyn and Jeanette Whiteman know.
(Please note that anyone is welcome to do the course, whether or
not you wish to be Confirmed as well).
Communion before Confirmation
All Saints’ Church offers children the opportunity to receive communion before confirmation. This follows a ten week course for children over the age of seven where they will discover more about God’s love and what church and Holy Communion are about. This includes sessions on prayer, the Bible, Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit and what sacraments are.
It is hoped that young people then go on to be confirmed when they are ready, rather than at a prescribed time.
Please contact the Vicar if you would like more information.
