Who We Are
The original All Saints’ Church was built in the 1930s as a daughter church for St Nicolas’ Church shortly after the Onslow Village Housing Association was formed. It was known very fondly as the ‘Tin Tabernacle’ but, over time and as the congregation increased, All Saints’ became a parish in its own right and a new church was needed.
Firstly a Church Hall was built, where services were conducted while the old church was demolished and the new church built in the 1960s. It has more recently been extended to include a parish office and disabled toilet, the hall has been updated and insulated and the carpark resurfaced.
With its unusual parabolic roof, All Saints’ Church is very light and airy and our style of worship aims to be central and as accessible as possible to reflect the needs of the community.
We have 150 on our Electoral Roll and each week between 50 and 70 adults and over 20 children gather for our Sunday services.
The rest of the website will guide you through many of the other activities going on in the church/hall through the week.
‘Called by God to proclaim, teach, strengthen, show loving service and look outward…’
